Healthy Home Tips For Flu Season

March 24, 2019

As flu season is once again spreading across the country, this year it seems to be affecting more people than ever! These deadly viruses can spread not only from human contact, but also through the air. That's why it's so important to take steps to protect you and your family, and keep your home clean and healthy.

Helpful Tips For A Healthy Home

Wash Your Hands

Always wash your hands thoroughly after you've been out in public, especially if you've been somewhere that people may be infected.  Be careful not to touch your face before washing, & wash thoroughly for at least 30 seconds with hot water

Eat Healthy Meals

Eating a healthy balanced diet makes your immune system stronger, which helps prevent you from becoming sick.  Drinking a lot of water also helps rid your body of toxins, and keeps you hydrated.

Wash Bed Linens & Use Disinfectants

Wash clothes & linens frequently in hot water to keep them free of bacteria, & use the hot setting on your dryer to get rid of all germs.  Spray disinfectants on all kitchen & bathroom surfaces on a regular basis, and   on anything your hands may come in contact with.

Professionally Clean Carpets & Upholstery

Certain viruses can live on a carpet's surface for well over a month, so it's important to vacuum carpets frequently, & have your carpets professionally cleaned on a regular basis. If you're in the Greenville or Spartanburg area, consider using a professional carpet cleaning service like Quik-Dry Inc. Carpet Cleaning before & after flu season to keep your home germ free & healthy.
